I. Summary of Activities (Jan 30 – Feb 7, 2026)
1. Preventive Maintenance and Load Balancing
- Conducted PM and load balancing for multiple branches including GOC, SOC, SSJ, RNE, SCF, and PSCS.
- Corrected unbalanced loads where necessary; SCF noted for follow-up due to persistent imbalance.
- Ensured panel boards were inspected, tightened, and monitored for safe operation.
2. Electrical Works and Troubleshooting
- Completed relocation and electrical setup for PSMU (SM Muntinlupa) and PPL‑1 (Festival Mall).
- Responded to urgent troubleshooting at PSCS/Gotcha (SM Sucat) involving a tripping breaker and a blown LED strip power supply.
- Restored power to office and cove lights; removed defective LED wiring.
- Addressed grounding issues at ECO (Evergotesco Commonwealth); advised replacement of non-grounded machine cables.
3. Lighting Replacement and Repairs
- Replaced defective 40W panel lights at PSCM (SM Molino).
- Replaced dome lights at PSMU.
- Conducted canopy lighting replacement at PEWF (Festival Mall); awaiting additional materials.
- Continued lighting inspections and replacements across multiple branches.
4. New Satellite Installations
- Installed and wired the new SCT satellite at SM Trece.
- Ensured full electrical readiness and compliance with mall engineering requirements.
II. Narrative Report
From January 30 to February 7, 2026, the TW–DCD Electrical Team carried out a series of preventive maintenance activities, troubleshooting tasks, and installation works across various branches.
The week began with major relocation and electrical setup tasks at PSMU and PPL‑1. These involved rerouting power lines, securing new supply points, and ensuring proper load distribution for relocated machines. Both projects were completed smoothly and verified by mall engineering.
Preventive maintenance was conducted at several branches, including GOC, SOC, SSJ, RNE, and SCF. Load balancing was performed to correct uneven distribution and ensure safe electrical operation. SCF was noted for unbalanced loads requiring follow-up corrective action.
A critical troubleshooting call was addressed at PSCS/Gotcha (SM Sucat), where a breaker was tripping due to a blown LED strip power supply. The team restored power to the affected areas and removed the defective wiring to prevent further issues.
Lighting-related tasks were also completed throughout the week. PSCM required replacement of 40W panel lights, while PEWF needed canopy lighting replacements. PSMU had dome lights replaced as part of routine maintenance.
On February 6, the team successfully installed and wired a new satellite at SCT (SM Trece), ensuring full operational readiness.
Grounding issues at ECO were also addressed. The team identified loose grounding connections and recommended replacing non-grounded machine cables with proper 3‑prong cords to ensure safety compliance.
Overall, the week was productive, with a balanced mix of preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and installation works. All tasks were completed efficiently with proper coordination between operations, mall engineering, and the TW–DCD Electrical Team.
III. Observations
- Several branches continue to show unbalanced loads; follow-up monitoring is recommended.
- Lighting fixture failures remain common in older branches.
- Satellite relocations and installations were completed smoothly due to proper coordination.
- Grounding issues at ECO highlight the need for stricter compliance checks.
IV. Recommendations
- Schedule follow-up load balancing for SCF and other branches with recurring imbalance.
- Continue monitoring branches with frequent lighting failures to determine if fixture upgrades are needed.
- Implement a standardized grounding inspection checklist for all branches.
- Ensure timely delivery of lighting materials to avoid delays.
