1st & 2nd Week of April 2026

1. OVERALL SUMMARY

Across both weeks (April 1–15, 2026), the Electrical Team completed 39 documented activities covering:

  • Preventive Maintenance (PM)
  • Load Balancing
  • Breaker Replacement / Retightening
  • Machine Relocation
  • Lighting Repairs
  • CCTV Wiring Rectification
  • Transformer Preventive Maintenance
  • Electrical Safety Certification
  • Outlet and Baseboard Repairs
  • Preparation of Electrical Materials for New Satellite Sites

All tasks were marked OK / Completed, with no unresolved issues reported.

2. KEY ACTIVITIES PERFORMED

A. Preventive Maintenance (Majority of Tasks)

PM activities were performed across multiple branches including:

  • TOMSWORLD
  • Funhouse
  • Pambi Corp
  • Joy Planet Inc
  • Gotcha Prize
  • Jack’s Adventure

Common PM findings and actions:

  • Load balancing of LP/PP panels Example from record: “LP/PP is unbalance (L1-26A, L2-12A, L3-15A)… After balancing: L1-17.2A, L2-17.5A, L3-18.2A.”
  • Cleaning of panel boards
  • Retightening of terminals and busbars
  • Correction of loose or overheated terminals (yellow tag thermal scan)

B. Load Balancing

Load balancing was repeatedly required due to:

  • Aircon units causing uneven loads
  • Additional lighting wattage
  • Multiple ACCUs in some branches
  • Old breakers overheating under unbalanced loads

Branches with load balancing activities include:

  • SM Baliwag
  • SM San Jose del Monte
  • SM Pulilan
  • SM East Ortigas
  • Festival Mall Alabang
  • Southmall Las Piñas
  • Puregold Taguig
  • Eastwood

C. Breaker Replacement / Retightening

Several branches required breaker replacement due to:

  • Age (some breakers in use since 2008)
  • Burned-out terminals
  • Overloading
  • Mechanical wear

Branches

  • Montalban Town Center – multiple 20A breakers replaced
  • SM Fairview – installation of new breaker
  • SM Pulilan – retightening of breaker terminals

D. Machine Relocation + PM + Load Balancing

Performed for:

  • PPH3 (Southmall Las Piñas)
  • PSCS (SM Sucat)
  • PWQE (Waltermart Bicutan)

These activities included:

  • Relocating machines
  • Rebalancing loads
  • Correcting burned or loose wires
  • Conducting full PM after relocation

E. Lighting Works

  • Replacement of busted lights at PPLP, Tempo 2, Montalban Town Center, and Festival Mall Alabang
  • Downlight replacement
  • Dome light replacement

F. CCTV & Wiring Rectification

  • PPLP – Festival Mall Alabang Rectification of CCTV UTP cable and internet wiring.

G. Transformer Preventive Maintenance

Performed at:

  • PPL1 – Xsite Festival Mall Alabang
  • PPLP – Pixie Festival Mall Alabang

Activities included:

  • Inspection
  • Cleaning
  • Load check
  • Terminal tightening

H. Electrical Safety Certification

Issued for:

  • Funhouse – Morong CenterPoint
  • Funhouse – Tanay Town Center

Both passed with Status: OK.

I. Outlet / Baseboard Repairs

  • Ever Commonwealth – floor outlet repair
  • Festival Mall Alabang (PEWF) – defective baseboard outlet replacement

J. New Satellite Preparation

  • PPLP – Festival Mall Alabang Preparation and assembly of panel board
  • SM Lipa Batangas Ocular inspection and coordination with mall admin for new satellite site

3. HIGHLIGHTS for 2nd Week of April

The PPT emphasizes visual documentation of:

  • Replacement of defective lights (Tempo 2 – Pixie)
  • Preventive maintenance and load balancing at PSTH, PPH3, PSCS, PWQE
  • Rectification of CCTV wiring at PPLP
  • Transformer PM at PPL1 and PPLP
  • Assembly of new panel board for PPLP

These align with the PDF records and confirm successful completion of all tasks.

4. GENERAL OBSERVATIONS

  • Load imbalance remains the most common recurring issue across branches.
  • Old breakers (2008–2020) frequently require replacement due to wear and overheating.
  • Aircon units are a major contributor to load imbalance.
  • Thermal scanning continues to be effective in identifying hotspots early.
  • Multiple branches required machine relocation followed by PM and load balancing.
  • No major electrical failures were reported during the period.

5. RECOMMENDATIONS

  1. Schedule periodic thermal scanning for branches with repeated yellow-tag findings.
  2. Replace aging breakers proactively, especially those older than 10 years.
  3. Standardize load distribution guidelines for branches with multiple ACCUs.
  4. Continue PM + load balancing combo for branches undergoing machine relocation.
  5. Maintain documentation with photos for audit and compliance.
